PROS

  • More esthetically pleasing.
  • Quieter when it rains.
  • Better insulation if the right type of glass is chosen.
  • Reduce heat build up if the right type of glass is chosen.
  • Lighter in the room that the conservatory comes off

CONS

  • More expensive

Polycarbonate

PROS

  • Cheaper.
  • Good insulation if the right type of polycarbonate is chosen.
  • Good protection from glare if the right type of polycarbonate is chosen.

CONS

  • Noisy when it rains.
  • Does not look as nice as glass.
  • Makes any room attached to the conservatory darker.
  • Not as well insulated as the best high tech glasses.
